I designed this mandolin for people who have smaller hands and want something that is smaller and still sounds like a real mandolin and not a toy. This has a shorter scale length of 13-3/32” vs. the standard 13-7/8" scale length, with a one inch nut width. This is the perfect option if you’re looking for a mandolin that looks full size and has a full sound, but has the easier play-ability with the shorter scale length.
This includes... All Hide-Glue construction. Figured Maple back, sides and neck. Select Engelmann or Adirondack "Red" spruce top with traditional single traverse brace for A4 or tone bar bracing for A5. Bound radiused ebony fingerboard with 24 or 22 frets. Ebony headstock overlay, Ebony trussrod cover, Flur-de-Lis inlay. Double rope and ivoroid rosette and bound sound hole for the A4. Sunburst on top, back and sides. Triple bound ivoroid/black/ivoroid binding on body. Varnish finish. Nickel plated James tailpiece. Rubner tuners. And hard case.

Blond color, Gold hardware, Pickguard, fancy custom inlay, side sound port, Virzi tone producer and any custom work that takes extra time, including design time.
